What We Do.

We are on a mission

Working towards a future where all orphaned, refugee, host community and most vulnerable children and youth get the care and support they need to thrive.

Tenda Wema CBO was founded to support refugees, and most vulnerable in the host community access to quality and uninterrupted basic education, vocational skills and livelihood support. We also work to address socio-economic empowerment as well as security of basic provisions such as food, hygiene and shelter, as part of its overall vision of a socially as well as an economically empowered community.

Promote Access to Quality Education

Education through scholarships, school feeding programs, uniforms and learning materials

Socio Economic Empowerment

Provision of basic needs through identifying and supporting the extremely vulnerable with
food, rent and safety and hygiene items

Create Opportunities for training

Youth empowerment through vocational training, credit and financial opportunities

Our Reach.

We're making an impact

To enable refugees to become self-reliant and sustain themselves, Tenda Wema Community Project has tailored a well-defined Socio-economic Empowerment Fund that has brought together over 100 refugees to create a pool of funds from which members can access money to start up businesses, expand existing businesses or even better their social lives.
